Cliff Fall on 30/3/2010
It was hands on deck as re made hasty repairs to our rail track for the
launching crane after 8 feet of cliff suddenly disappeared over night. The track
was left suspended in mid air only by the weight of the remaining track acting
as a cantilever. After adding some additional support it was possible to
unbolt the overhanging section and winch it back in over terra firmer. The task
then was to disassemble the front section, remove the sleepers and bolts. The
old sleepers then had to be re cut to their new length, relayed and the front
section fitted back and then welded into position. (click on the thumbnails to

go.
